WAP

The WAPCELL service enables you to access various Internet sites that provide e-mail, news and weather updates, information about travel and entertainment, or products and services for sale online. WAP is a simplified version of the traditional Internet, and there’s a huge range of WAP sites available, many containing the same information that is found on traditional Internet sites. Browsing WAP sites works in much the same way as browsing the Internet on a computer, but with one main difference: you are absolutely mobile. You don’t need a telephone cable, PC or laptop computer to be able to connect to this service.

Depending on the phone model the speed of WAPCELL connection could be 9.6 Kb/s; 14.4 Kb/s; 38.4 Kb/s.

If your phone supports WAP, you need to set up settings to use the service. For appropriate settings for various phone models visit “WAP settings” in “Subscriber’s guideline” section.
